Please list your professional / personal qualifications that you feel make you a good candidate for the AAFPO Board:
I am a Graphic Designer and Art Director and proficient in WordPress and InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. In my tenure on the board so far, I have redesigned the AAFPO logo, revamped the website, and worked on the dumpster flyer for the Fire Department, along side the Fire Chief Henson. I am hopeful my skills will continue to be useful for future design work for the Welcome Committee website, and that I can continue to collaborate to improve communication to all Angel Fire residents and Members of AAFPO.
What do you think are the most important issues or improvements you would champion as a Director on the Board?
I would like to assist with getting better amenities and benefits for members and having a reasonable voice for the membership with the resort. I would like to encourage more transparent communications with the resort and a restoration of the easy business relationship that previously existed between AAFPO and the Resort and the Village. I think this relationship would benefit all who enjoy Angel Fire and visit and live there full- and part-time.

I think my record in the short time period on the board and all I have been able to accomplish speaks well about my abilities, and I ask for more time to be able to continue the work I have only just been able to start.

Since the election was delayed, I’m looking forward to extending my service – we have many projects in the works and there is still much to be accomplished.
What do you think are the most important issues or improvements you would champion as a Director on the Board?
The lawsuit remains the most important issue. After a 6-month Election delay, seven new board members were elected to office in December 2021. That same day Donald Wolcott, the attorney who led the AAFPO lawsuit, resigned. Four months later, we have retained new council, and have been working through the pleadings and discovery to better understand the merits of the case. It’s time to put this to rest and continue our work of fighting for the Members and restoring a collaborative and accountable relationship with the Resort. As AAFPO president, I initiated a member survey and received nearly 1000 responses from AAFPO members. I hope I will be able to continue serving and help put your good ideas to work. Last, the AFFPO Bylaws have been in desperate need of an update to bring them into modern practices. We have worked hard to update the bylaws and these updates will be on the June 2022 ballot.

My wife and I have been property owners in Angel Fire since 2020. We enjoy bringing our two sons to Angel Fire to experience all it has to offer – the relaxing atmosphere, the incredible views, the myriad outdoor activities. In my professional life I established, expanded, and currently manage the Albuquerque Branch for Mortgage Solutions Financial, a $217 million dollar mortgage company. In fact, I have been in the financial industry for the last 17 years – starting my career as a lender at Wells Fargo. I understand how to analyze financials, design budgets, as well as the significance of staying abreast of current market information and trends of financial planning. All of which I think would prove helpful to the AAFPO board.
What do you think are the most important issues or improvements you would champion as a Director on the Board?
I think the issues I would champion most as Director on the Board, is ongoing and regular exterior maintenance. Being in my current business as long as I have, I understand just how important a role curb appeal plays. Additionally, I think a clear and transparent accounting of dues should be established – to include all income and expenses. I also feel that many of the options and opinions of the community have been forgotten and its time to have a young voice that stands up for the community.

I have always felt a responsibility for upholding strong financial management and accountability while providing timely, accurate, and reliable financial information and enhancing internal control.
I am involved in my community which is demonstrated by my membership to difefrent local boards. I currentrly serve as Vice President of La HOA, and as a board member of Watermelon Ranch, New Mexico’s largest no kill animal shelter.
In addition to my community involvement, I am very active in my local church. I regularity offer my time for projects to help the homeless, and volunteer to work with the pediatric units in Albuquerque spending time and delivering gifts to the children. I firmly believes that every person matters, that everyone has a story, and that everyone deserves a chance. Three words make up my core belief system are love, Integrity, and commitment.

What do you think are the most important issues or improvements you would champion as a Director on the Board?
I believe the fundamental role of the AAFPO Board of Directors is to do everything it can to protect the property values of its members. I am prepared and willing to serve in any role on the AAFPO Board of Directors. I envision an Association that works closely with its Membership and the Resort to create the best experience for its Members, with the best amenities in the Southern Rockies, for the best value. I believe open communication is a vital role for the Board. It is critical for effective communication between the Board, the Resort, and the Members.

My entire adult work life has involved serving – serving others. I would really love the opportunity to serve my fellow property owners as a member of the AAFPO Board. I genuinely love Angel Fire! I grew up in a small town in New Hampshire and Angel Fire has many similarities that bring back such fond memories of my childhood. Angel Fire is an amazing place, and I have seen tremendous improvements here since we purchased our property. I would like to see those improvements continue for years to come. I believe the current AAFPO Board has begun an effort to increase member involvement and I would like to see that work continue. I want to see an environment where the Board and the Resort work in harmony to benefit all parties.
