AAFPO Board of Directors Statement of Purpose
Dear Angel Fire Property Owners,
Requesting Candidates for the AAFPO Board of Directors
We are seeking candidates to run the AAFPO Board of Directors. There are 4 seats open. Three of them are 3-year terms and one is a 1-year term. If you are interested in investing your time to make a difference in our community please apply by May 6, 2025.

All members in good standing will receive voting instructions via email. Please provide or update your email address with the membership department at
(575) 377-4260 or [email protected]. If AFR Membership does not have your email on file, voting instructions will be sent to your mailing address. Online voting begins June 1st and ends June 20th. In-person voting will be from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on June 22, 2024, with the location forthcoming.
Election results will be announced at the AAFPO Annual Meeting on June 22, 2024, at 11 AM MST.

Election of the Board of Directors
Per the Bylaws, the affairs of the Association shall be managed by a Board of nine (9) Directors, each of whom must be a Member of the Association in good standing. Board members shall be elected for three year terms. The Resort will be entitled to have one ex-officio, non-voting member of the Board of Directors.
No director shall serve for more than two (2) successive three (3) year elective terms; however, in the event that a person begins his/her tenure on the Board by filling a vacancy as an appointee, the maximum continuous tenure shall be seven (7) years. No director shall be an employee of, nor receive compensation for any services he/she renders to the Resort.
Candidates for election shall file a Petition for Candidacy, signed by not less than ten (10) Members in good standing, with the Elections Committee at least five (5) weeks before the annual meeting. The Elections Committee shall provide all members with a ballot containing the names of all bona fide candidates not less than three (3) weeks before the annual meeting.
Members in good standing may cast, in respect to each vacancy, one vote for each homesite. Those persons receiving a plurality of votes cast shall be elected.
